Pi Tau Sigma Upsilon Chapter Activities

Senior Composites

Pi Tau Sigma has been responsible for the senior composite board since 1944. Each year, all Mechanical Engineering graduating seniors have the opportunity to have formal pictures taken and included in this professional composite. The composites are displayed throughout Randolph Hall.

Pizza Sales

The luncheon pizza fund raiser is hosted by the members of Pi Tau Sigma in the lobby of Randolph hall, and has been an ongoing activity since the fall 2000 semester. Pi Tau Sigma hopes that these events will make the organization more visible to the students and faculty as an active society. Pizza sales are generally held several times throughout the semester. Pizza sales for the Spring 2008 semester will be every Wednesday in Randolph Lobby at noon, starting the 3rd week of classes.

Upkeep of Goodson Lounge

The ME student lounge in Randolph is maintained and cleaned by the members of Pi Tau Sigma. The ME student lounge is where many Mechanical Engineering students spend time studying or taking breaks throughout the day. Pi Tau Sigma also sets up the ME senior mailboxes in the lounge each year, which are used, among other things, to hand back assignments.

Faculty-Student Activities

In an effort to maintain good student-facutly relationships within the Mechanical Engineering Department, Pi Tau Sigma hosts several faculty-student events each year. During the Fall 2007 semester, we held a faculty-student picnic by the Duckpond. Spring 2008 events are in the works for later in the semester.
